Meet our designer Sarah Haran
As a former Chief Operating Officer in the fast-paced environment of an AIM listed cloud computing company, Sarah Haran knows what it takes to turn good ideas into great business acumen. With an intense schedule of international air travel, Haran was increasingly frustrated by the limited options available for women who wanted to transport their essentials stylishly, whilst still adhering to the strict policies in place for cabin baggage.
After years of failing to find a beautiful bag that would be ideal for a laptop by day but wouldn’t look out of place at a corporate dinner, Haran decided it was time to create her own. Alongside her work as an executive, she undertook a training course in handbag design and leatherwork that culminated in an apprenticeship with the (now former) Creative Director of Mulberry.
Haran’s unique attitude to the design process stems from her technical experience in the world of IT. Adopting a straight-forward, functional approach has resulted in the creation of a range of luxurious, modular handbags that are both versatile and long-lasting. She understands the complex relationship that exists between a woman and her handbag, and how, if executed correctly, the perfect bag becomes a reflection of your life and style.
Since the launch in 2015, Sarah Haran has grown to become a brand trusted by some of the world’s most successful women, from FTSE CEOs to Fashion Editors and has received critical acclaim from The Guardian, The Scotsman and Marie Claire.
